Chengdu HENGDA Industrial Control Co., Ltd（HENGDA IPC）traces the origins to the Chengdu HENGDA Chemical Automation Research Institute, founded in 1996. Specializing in the R&D, production, and application of industrial automation products, HENGDA is certified as a "National High-Tech R&D Enterprise Recognized under the Dual-Software Program." We now houses three main divisions—R&D Center, Sales Center, and Production Center—with a total floor space of nearly 5,000 square meters.

HENGDA IPC has developed a range of microprocessor-based control systems with proprietary intellectual property rights, including excitation control devices for synchronous motors and generators, hydraulic control systems (used in coal coking and natural gas processing for gasification), voltage regulation equipment (for AC and DC power adjustment), and microprocessor-based electrostatic precipitator Control System.HENGDA also undertakes project contracts for the design and modernization of industrial process control and large-scale production line automation systems.

Guided by the principle that "Quality is our foundation, integrity the source of our growth," HENGDA is committed to a business path of "high standards, meticulous processes, and zero defects." We continuously improve product performance and after-sales service, earning broad customer recognition and trust. Our products are now distributed across the Chinese mainland and exported to numerous countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Russia, India, the United States, and Mexico, playing a critical role in enhancing the safety, energy efficiency, and productivity of our partners.

Honorhonor qualification

In 2009, HENGDA was supported by China National Innovation Fund for Technology-based Firms, advancing R&D and obtaining patents for the microprocessor-based synchronous motor controller and generator excitation controller.
In 2010, the company developed XZK series of increased-safety brushless synchronous motor rotating rectifier systems, acquiring national explosion-proof certification for electrical equipment. This milestone marked products of HENGDA entry into the explosion-proof sector, where we captured considerable market share.
In 2011, Hengda attained ISO 9001 certification.
In 2012, HENGDA developed and patented an increased-safety brushless excitation system for synchronous motors.
In 2013, Hengda obtained the Software Enterprise Certification.

Since 2009, HENGDA has been dedicated to the R&D of industrial control technologies. With 22 core patents and 12 software copyrights as the foundation, HENGDA maintains a leading position in the field, delivering advanced and reliable technology solutions for industrial applications.

1996-2025

Laying Solid Foundation

1996

In the winter of 1996, Mr. Wu Changheng, then an engineer at the Chengdu Huaxi Chemical Research Institute, foresaw the rapid expansion of China's industrial sector. Driven by ambition and a fervent dream to contribute to the nation through technological advancement, he founded the Chengdu Hengda Chemical Automation Research Institute. Like many determined visionaries of his generation, Mr. Wu embarked on this venture with both courage and purpose.
At the outset of the venture, Mr. Wu and two like-minded engineers quickly developed China's first microprocessor-based excitation system. This breakthrough laid the foundation for Hengda's position as a domestic technology leader.

2006

In 2006, Mr. Wu Jian, having long been inspired by his father's endeavors, joined the institute. Under his impetus, the organization was restructured as Chengdu Hengda Industrial Control Co., Ltd. This step marked not merely a business transformation, but a natural succession of the family's profound technical spirit.
Over the next 3 years, under Mr. Wu Jian's leadership, HENGDA IPC swiftly evolved R&D focus from the foundational B-series to the intelligent T/S series, achieving a leap forward in equipment intelligence. These upgrades enhanced algorithms for efficient data sampling and accurate fault detection, while introducing core functions such as remote real-time monitoring and management. This development helped to address the key issues arising from the evolving operational and maintenance workflows during China's rapid industrial expansion. The new generation of excitation systems demonstrated strong market competitiveness, further solidifying HENGDA's technological leadership.

Today

True to the saying "like father, like son," these two generations of engineers have combined deep technical expertise with a close focus on customer needs. They further developed brushed excitation products and matching equipment, expanding HENGDA's product and service portfolio.

HENGDA has successfully expanded the client base to several new sectors, including petrochemicals, mining, steel, and new materials. Leveraging reliable products and professional, efficient service, HENGDA has built a strong brand reputation and gained widespread recognition and commercial acclaim in these industries.

Today, Hengda blends the experience of the older generation with the vitality of the new, earning the trust and continued choice of domestic customers while supplying products to nine countries overseas.
