2013-07-11

(Taiyuan, China – July 11, 2013)
Established in 1934, Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group (TISCO) is China's extra-large steel enterprise and the largest steel producer in Shanxi Province. In 2013, Chengdu Hengda Industrial Control completed a retrofit project for TISCO, involving excitation cabinets, frequency converters, dust removal power supplies, and power regulation equipment. After the commissioning of new system, the system achieved annual electricity savings of 12 million kWh, reducing electricity costs by over 10 million yuan, and improving dust emission reduction efficiency by 40%.
A TISCO representative said: "The equipment operates stably, with the energy-saving results effect far exceeds expectations." This project has become a benchmark case for energy-saving retrofits of industrial control in the metallurgical industry, laying the foundation for future cooperation.
